but I wanted to tell fellow Bulls fans they have a group of young men on the basketball team to be proud of that truly made the weekend for a couple of 11 year old basketball players I brought to the tourney.

The tournament itself was fun to watch for a basketball fan, but for the youngsters the setting allowed them a chance to get up close to the players, especially after the first game.

The kids that I brought got to sit behind the bench and after the game gets some autographs.  They met everyone on the team and got autographs and had some conversation.  Justin Leemow and Dominique Jones were both incredibly gracious to the young guys.  I heard them both say several times to them "thank you for coming to our game".  Stan Heath was equally engaging and talked to the guys for a bit, and also sincerely thanked them for being there.

Yeah, I can talk about Xs and Os all you want (and for some it's only Ws and Ls that matter), but as a fan, alumni and donor to the program, I was just happy to be proud of how our players on the basketball team represented our university especially to our younger fans.
