I just spoke with a woman at the NCAA regarding this endeavor.  She informed me that since we weren't officially affiliated with the school and if we would do it for a non-student athlete (i.e. one of our own children who were in a similar situation, which I believe we most definitely would), then it's A-OK by the NCAA.

I put in my $5, but if possible could you check with Steve Horton before we get Bradley anything?  He's our Associate A.D. for Compliance, and his number is 974-6858.  I'm sure it's fine, but the Athletic Department will want to know.

I have been in contact with USF administration regarding this.  They are organizing a larger effort, and we may end up contributing our funds to this depending on what it is.  We just want to ensure that what we do is in compliance with the NCAA and USF's athletic department.

Please contribute if you haven't done so.  We are up to $35 as of right now.
