From where I sit--which is currently in North Carolina and was previously in the state of Maryland--UMCP is the elusive 5th "Tobacco Road" school, and probably has just as much, if not more, camaraderie (and animosity) with UNC, Duke, and State as Wake Forest does two hours down the road. They found out it wasn't. Besides, I'd rather have VT, Miami, or BC over Maryland. Any one of those guys comes back and the BE gets stronger, especially if it is VT or Miami.
