The NCAA requires 15,000 minimum attendance to remain D-1A, a number FIU has never even come close to meeting.  Why haven't they been booted back already?

Wouldn't that serve Rutgers right - NCAA kicks FIU back to 1-AA and Rutgers has to travel to play them!

The article says that they are going to have to compete with 18 other groups for a pool of $10,000 of money provided by recreation services. How are they going to afford things like travel expenses, coaches salaries, and equipment with a few thousand dollars?
