i don't like when people hate on Brett. He was my idle growing up. The guy just loves playing ball. If he didn't tear his biceps last season the jets are in the playoffs and Brett doesn't retire. If he is healthy let him come back! It never gets old watching him throw.

Exactly.  You're how old now?

He's not coming back because he wants to play, sure he wants to play but the reason why he's coming back is he wants to stick it to the packers. If the only reason why hes coming back is because of the love of the game then why not go to a team which has a chance to win. He wants to play the packers and stick it to them one more time. If he was any kind of leader he would have a) not jerked around the packers or B) not quit on the Jets

B) not quit on the Jets

The Jets released him...in other words they told him to hit the bricks, not the other way around.

Favre is going to the Vikings because, besides the Bucs, its probably the only team he would get the starting role.

No Farve RETIRED

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3898942

Without the tearful public ceremony that accompanied his retirement announcement from the Green Bay Packers just 11 months ago, quarterback Brett Favre has told the New York Jets he is retiring.

Favre had instructed his agent, James "Bus" Cook, to inform the Jets on Wednesday that he is retiring. Favre and the Jets both confirmed the retirement in separate conference calls.
