I don't know if we just offered him or what but just as I figured this kid is getting a lot of attention already.

I hope we can reunite him with Ryne next year!

Offers coming quickly

After not Qualifying he went to Pearl River CC and now has USF as his #1 favorite, according to a free blurb on 247 today.

A gator blog had this to say about him recently:

If Florida does decide later on that they need a Terrance Cody-like presence up front in this class – keep an eye on the name Alton Bailey (6-4, 330) out of Pearl River Community College in Mississippi. The former Seffner (Fla.) Armwood product was a very talented player coming out of high school, but simply didn't have his academics in line, and most colleges backed off long before signing day. Bailey has re-emerged at Pearl River, and looks to be a name to keep an eye on during the coming months if the Gators look to try and land an immediate-impact type of defensive tackle in this recruiting cycle.

Would love to get him.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
