This will not allow him to be the opening game playoff starter.  He's been great at home and if he would rest today, he could pitch game 1 and 5 at home in the playoffs.  I don't understand this at all.  Now he'll have to pitch game 2.  Who's gonna start now, the inconsistent scott crapmir?

You gave up on this team a long time ago, you shouldn't worry about who they are pitching and when.

Because pitchers are conditioned to pitch on 4/5 days rest.  You cant screw with their routine.  But as a long time baseball fan Im sure you knew that.

I didn't realize he was only gonna go 1 inning.  He's gonna be the starter for game 1 still.
