So are they Holy, Retribution or Protection Spec'd?  Holy Pallies ROCK! 

lolret pallies are so funny, prot pallies cant generate threat while OOM and holy pallies crit and get mana back.. holy ftw

I'm a bit biased towards holy pallies (because that's what my wife plays).  I'm a BM hunter so dealing death with the occasional crowd control is my cup of tea.  Unfortunately we really haven't played since our son was born 4-1/2 months ago  :(
