they dont call him the wizard for nothing.  I watched a great story on him a couple of weeks ago where he had a former player that came in very highly recruited but never got much PT for UCLA and he blamed wooden for decades about it but finally after seeing how far he made it in his life and all the lessons he learned from Wooden he came to realization that Wooden made him one hell of a person and he never had realized it. They are now best of friends. Also they show Bill walton visiting him. Wooden has all his brain left and is one hell of a national treasure.

When was that,the early 60's?  Back  in the 60's&70's they were always the team to beat.

yes mission

in those days freshman didin't play on varsity

ucla JV team could have beaten  alot of varsity teams
