Look Out Below

Texas A&M Coach Mike Sherman, whose Aggies lost to Arkansas State by 18-14, did not have the worst season debut Saturday.

That ignominious distinction belongs to Aerial Adventures, a Virginia-based company that was supposed to deliver a game ball via skydivers for North Carolina’s season opener against McNeese State.

The trouble began, according to a report from The News & Observer of Raleigh, N.C., when the decision was made to cancel the leap because of weather while the plane was in the air. Then the clouds opened up, the pilot saw a stadium and the skydivers jumped — directly into Duke’s Wallace Wade Stadium, where the Blue Devils were preparing to play James Madison that night.

Check out the video, which was first posted on Deadspin.

I saw this in the St. Pete Times on Monday.  I must have laughed for 15 minutes.
