Zobrist will only be in St. Pete for tonight, and possibly for tomorrows game until Bartlett is ready to start again. I believe at that point, he'll be sent back down and Baldelli will be activated. On Gomes, this is something that actually should be good for him. Allows him to hit everyday, and hopefully work his swing back to being atleast somewhat productive. He'll be back up in Sept with the other call ups. 100% correct in my opinion.Gomes didnt get sent down so we can carry another IF. But we need a SS right now with Bartlett out. When Jason can come back you can bet that Rocco will get activated.and yes i think Gomes getting his confidence back will be key for the stretch run. its tough for him when he isnt getting regular at bats.
