UConn Spring Football Game To Be Rebroadcast Four Times On ESPNU

STORRS, Conn. (May 27, 2008) - The University of Connecticut Blue-White Spring Football Game will be rebroadcast four times in the month of June on ESPNU.

The four showings will be Wednesday June 11 at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday June 18 at 6:00 a.m., Monday June 23 at 7:00 p.m. and Monday June 30 at 11 a.m.

The game, played under warm and sunny skies at Rentschler Field on April 19, originally aired on COX Sports Television and has since been twice replayed locally in WCTX MyTV9 but not nationally. Mark Brown, former Husky Sean Mulcahy and WTNH's John Pierson broadcast the game and were joined in the booth for the second quarter by head coach Randy Edsall. Pierson's many sideline guests included several current and former Huskies along with University President Michael Hogan and Director of Athletics Jeff Hathaway.

The White team defeated the Blue, 21-20, when Darius Butler caught a 27-yard touchdown pass from Zach Frazer with 3:09 left to play in the game.

I'm guessing they won't be showing our 6-3 battle of the ages on national television.
