Schiano had lots to say on WQAM:

- NJ now has a team of its own -- New Jerseyans no longer need to adopt teams like Penn State and Notre Dame

- Rutgers Spring practice starts on March 11

- Waiting list of 12K for tickets; Coach spoke proudly of stadium expansion

- FL recruit Ed Poole keeps Glade Central pipeline open (mentioned Beckford as another Glade Central player who succeeded at Rutgers)

- FL recruit DC Jefferson is a dynamic athlete with physical maturity

- FL recruit Malcolm Johnson could play on either side of the ball (corner or wideout)

- FL recruit David Rowe is a fabulous athlete and will be a special player

- Biggest outcome of Spring practice is that staff can determine where players should be slotted

- With a limited number of scholarships this year, they recruited Florida for need this year (with more scholarships he would have recruited more than 4 Florida athletes)

- Rutgers will be explosive on offense

- Big East conference is competitive top-to-bottom

- Rutgers has depth more than ever before: 3 or 4 guys can step in as tailbacks and have great success

- Coach not happy with new NCAA regulations that prevent him from making Spring time visits to see Florida high school practices and meet with Florida high school coaches

- Radio hosts mentioned Coach Schiano rebuffing Michigan, and asked rhetorically what it would take for Greg to leave

Kind of off the subject, but I'm so tired of Rutgers.  We have to beat them this year.
