We rarely go head to head against FSU, UF for a player2) Stars don't mean much. Focus on who we can mold. 3) Use community college players as an augment - eleminates the unsuccessful college kid because you know they can pass classes and resolves the maturity issue as wellQuestion is are we hurting ourselves by not going after these players, putting ourselves on the radar? By searching for the gem in the rough are we missing the ones that are right out in the open? Finally question, our kicker Bonani who kicks 40 yard field goals and has a high percentage of touch backs is only a two star to me that is just unbulliveable. Can you build a consistent top 25 team on this approach or will you need to change the strategy next year?

Remember these kids are not ranked until late junior year for the most part. They pursue a kid regardless of "rank" because the staff determined he is talented and would fill a spot at USF. For exaple, Jarred Fayson committed to USF before he was on anyone's list, and then he goes to a rivals/scout camp and becomes a "4-star" which then brings ina lot of other schools, and we end up losing him to UF.The other side is that if a kid has no interest, the staff moves on. The staff does not waste time on kids who are clear that under no circumstance would they consider USF.In short, they do go after the best kids regardless of who is recruiting them until the kid says no, or the staff is satisfied there is no longer a need at that position.
