I'm very proud of the overall USF fan base today, I couldnt make it to El Paso so I had to settle for the Outback Bowl. I wasnt sure how many(if any) people would be wearing USF stuff after the Mexican Meltdown.

There was probably at least 50 people that I saw wearing USF stuff at the game, including one women in my section with one of the giant USF blankets. Lots of USF hats/shirts everywhere in RayJay today. I was sitting next to a Wisconsin fan who lives in Georgia and he knew all about us, knew it was disappointing, but him and nobody else I talked to took us seriously and we werent really a laughingstock like some would think.

There was a good number of people wearing gator crap, but I saw more people wearing USF stuff.

I wore my USF t-shirt to the Champs bowl (Mich. st. vs Bostons College) in Orlando and got lots of compliments on how good our team is.

that was of course before our bowl game, im sure the comments would have been a lot different today.

As ugly as the final score was, USF was in the game until the second half nightmare. Down 18-14 during half is not embarrassing. We just had a bad 3rd quarter, and the players started pressing hard.

It would be cool if every year at the Outback bowl, you would see 1/3 of the stadium SEC fans, 1/3 Big 10, and the other 1/3 Bulls fans.  A Tampa bowl game should always have Bulls fans in the stadium!

we weren't "in the game."

Oregon was giving us sympathy penalties while bitchslapping us across the field.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
