The temperature at kickoff was 35 degrees ... It is the second coldest game in USF history ... The coldest game was at UConn in 2005 and the kickoff temperature was 33 degrees ... USF entered the game 0-1 in weather 40 degrees or lower and 2-3 in weather 50 degrees or lower.

* The USF captains for the game were Mike Jenkins, Trae Williams, Julian Riley and Sam Miller ... All four Bulls are seniors.

* USF successfully converted on a fake punt in the first quarter when Sam Miller took a direct snap for a 29-yard gain on the ground ... It was first attempted fake of the season for USF ... Last year versus Pitt, the Bulls attempted two successful fakes against the Panthers ... Punter Justin Teachey rushed for 25 yards (long of 14) on the two fakes ... USF stuffed a fake field goal attempt by the Panthers in the second quarter and gained the ball on a turnover of downs at the 3-yard line.

* USF has scored 30 plus points in four consecutive games and in seven contests in 2007.

* USF tied a program record with nine wins, also done in 2006 and 2002. The Bulls will go for their first 10 win season in the bowl game.
