* Sophomore FS Nate Allen intercepted his fourth pass of the year and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown ... It is the second consecutive week that Allen has scored on a turnover ... He scooped up a fumble on the opening kickoff against Louisville last week and took it three yards into the end zone for a TD ... Allen is second on the USF team in interceptions behind senior CB Trae Williams, who has five.

* Allen’s interception was the 21st for USF this season and the 39th turnover the defense had forced ... Moments later senior LB Ben Moffitt would reel in his fourth interception of the season on a pass deflection and scamper 60 yards to the Pitt 1-yard line ... That would be followed by a 21 yard interception and TD by Trae Williams late in the fourth quarter ... It increases USF’s interception total to 23 this season, which breaks the previous program record of 22 set in 2002 ... USF has forced 41 turnovers this season ... The Bulls entered tied for the national lead in turnovers forced at 38 along with Cincinnati, which plays this afternoon ... The turnover total is a program record as well ...

* Trae Williams has returned three consecutive interceptions for touchdowns ... He had a 73-yard INT and score against Cincinnati and a 64-yarder against Louisville last week.

* Allen has played a part in eight of the 41 turnovers this season with four via interceptions, three on fumble recoveries and one on a forced fumble.

* USF has scored five defensive TDs this season  ... In addition to Allen and Williams’ scores today, Ben Moffitt returned an interception 26 yards for a TD against West Virginia and Trae Williams has interception TD returns of 64 yards (Louisville) and 73 yards (Cincinnati).
