Quincy Carter has thrown his last pass for the Dallas Cowboys. The quarterback who started all 16 games for Dallas last season was absent from practice on Wednesday, and according to team owner Jerry Jones, Carter has been cut from the team. The Cowboys will likely turn the offense over to 40-year-old Vinny Testaverde.

not sure, they haven't released the "how or what yet" , just that it was an illegal substance and that he was already on the substance abuse program.
