I guess it's better for the players for it to be on a short week. This way by the time sundasy rolls around they will be focused on uconn. If this was a sat game it could linger in their heads while preparing for uconn.

For us fans its worse because we will dwell on it for longer as have no preparation to do

good point, they will be ready to get after it when practice rolls around on monday, specially after being able to watch a little bit of college football on saturday and knowing that they still have a chance at the best season in school history.

also better to lose earlier in the season as seen by WVU rebounding to the top 5

that depends on where you are ranked early on.

Us being unranked it we would have lost early say to aub we wouldnt have even been ranked when we played wvu and my guess is we would have never cracked the top 10
