would Grothe have ever been given the shot to play last year?

Julmiste = Ben Williams in my eyes.

Ben is a great kid that can run wild on FAU.

I think he can do good things still for this football team, however we have a back that has the potential to be great. We have to let either taylor or Ford get in a groove.

Ford is a true freshman who cannot do many of the things Williams can do.  He needs time to learn the offense and intricacies of being a complete back.

He makes things happen. Ford is a heck of a player. Put Richard Kelley in at FB and Ford as the RB. We have the talent to play smash mouth football. I dont under stand when we need 3 or 4 yards we let Williams carry the rock and not Mike.

Ford cannot block, occasionally has trouble with ball protection (although I think it is overblown), and does not know most of the playbook.  I love him.  He is a playmaker.  But there are not many true freshman RBs that can come in and start right away, and Ford has shown he is not capable of that right now.

has he been given the chance? I seem to recall the game he got the most PT was Auburn, and he played very well it that one.

He averaged 3.5 yards a carry on 21 carries (really, he had one good run).  Those 21 carries were almost too much for him, as he was visibly panting on the field.  Again, I like Ford.  He is not an every down back yet.

Julmiste was a warrior and a team player.  His passing skills were not always what we needed but to say he set the program back shows your ignorance and is an insult.  You obviously don't know who he replaced.  Some of us remember all too well.

What I'm saying is there was a huge void from Blackwell To Grothe, including Banks
