Guest BasketBull.
Okay, the game is on the line. Would you choose to have the defense on (stop them for 4 downs from the USF 20 and we win)?Or Would you choose to have Grothe and the offense (score a TD from the USF 30 and we win)? He has that (dare I say it) Montana-like refusal to lose. He will find a way to win the game if you put the ball in his hands. Do I need to say Auburn in overtime? In your scenario, its a no brainer, take Grothe and the Offense. The D could play flawless and still give up a FG. Next question.
