Check out this website. It tracks week-by-week poll rankings, and performs certain interesting calculations, like how long it's been since a team was in the Top 5, or 10, or 25.

To put USF's current run into perspective, here is a list of well-known college football programs, and the last time they were in the Top 5. In other words, here's how long a lot of people have waited to be where we are:

Auburn, Arkansas, Louisville, Notre Dame: 2006.

Miami, Virginia Tech, Penn State, Georgia, Tennessee: 2005.

Purdue: 2004.

Iowa: 2002.

Nebraska, Oregon, Colorado, UCLA: 2001

Washington, Clemson, Kansas State: 2000.

Texas A&M, Michigan State 1999.

North Carolina: 1997.

BYU, Arizona State: 1996 (though Arizona State could get back into the Top 5 this year)

Georgia Tech, Houston, Illinois: 1990.

Syracuse: 1987.

Oklahoma State: 1985.

Pittsburgh, South Carolina: 1984.

Missouri: 1979.

Maryland: 1978.

Texas Tech: 1976.

Ole Miss, Stanford: 1970.

Kansas: 1968 (though they could get back into the Top 5 this year)

NC State: 1967.

Kentucky: 1964 (though they could get back into the Top 5 this year)

Navy: 1963.

Minnesota: 1962.

Army: 1959.

Baylor: 1953.

Tulane: 1949.

Cincinnati, East Carolina, Marshall, Memphis, Mississippi State, Rutgers, San Diego State, Southern Miss : NEVER.
