the main problem with the BE was

no one was willing to LEAD on the football side

miami was looking for $$$

vatech did not have the population mass in blacksberg

wvu had no consistancy or stability no center of mass

the rest pitt/cuse ect were bball schools masquerading as football schools

with the new schools coming in you have one potential leader on the football side.

not ul or cinci they are bball schools

it is USF, we lack experience but make up for it with drive and enthousiasm we know that our route to the national stage is paved by football and football only.

we have the population center and tv market.

we have a team AD and prez and coach that are on the same page

now USF has to roll up it's sleeves and lead the Big East

back to football prominence.

This is a great opportunity for USF, L'ville and Cincy ... I really BULLieve all 3 schools will really be pushing to make their mark as football schools.

Of course, USF will be on top  ;D
