Curious though, what does "Winning online bids will only be recognized if they are not surpassed at the event on March 2. " mean?

What is the March 2 event?  Something to do with Football Banquet?

Hey Guys:

Here's what that is.  The Men's Golf Coach-Am is on March 2nd at Lake Jovita.  There is an auction following that event that helps raise funds for the Men's Golf program.  You have the opportunity to bid on those items on line.  On Feb. 28th when the online auction ends, the high bids will be placed as the current bid at the event.  Those at the event can bid higher than you they want or your bid may be high enough.

So for these items it isn't necessarily that you out bid the others on line it's that you bid high enough so noone bids on it at the event.  Or you jack the price up and the Men's Golf team wins.

It's not explained very well on our website and I'll ask that some new language is added.  Thanks to Bulliever for giving me a heads up on this topic as I don't look at every thread.

All qualifying participants who have been referred to this site, are invited to bid on any of the items listed below. Simply click on the link provided and place your bid. Your bid will be posted on the site. Bidding runs through February 28th and ends at 11:45 p.m.

All auction items will be available after 7 p.m. on February 22, 2007.

and Men's Soccer just scheduled their golf tournament for May 21st at  Black Diamond.  On this subject believer if I post all the dates of upcoming golf events because WBB and Volleyball also have events planned will you stick it to the top.
