place i work at blocked facebook, myspace, game websites, etc, but thankfully does not block this site.  however, they also block proxies so good luck  :(

Although there are ways in which an administrator can attempt to inhibit the use of proxies there is always a way to circumnavigate such measures to some extent. As long as you have at least one open port you're in business.

Don't know about Hillsborough County, but those of us who work for the State of Florida like I do, have websense blocking USF's site.  As I believe I said in another post, I can go to USF.EDU but not to GOUSFBULLS.COM or to the BullPen.      :'(

Thank goodness I bought myself a laptop that I carry with me to work.  I have no trouble getting onto the site with it.  LOL

I guess I would ask does it also block UF,FSU & Miami sites that are similar in nature ?

The software is usually site specific... so the admin might have to actually input the domains that will be blocked.

This software also probably comes with a large library of sites pre-included. I doubt that TBP is among them (usually porn or other **** sites).
