Ranked 78th top prospect in the state by Orlando Sentinel’s Bill Buchalter and Mike Huguenin...Ranked 39th  at position nationally by Scout.com and 40th by Rivals.com...Rivals ranks him 99th top prospect at any position in Florida...First team Class 5A all-state...First team all-Polk County...Participated in State North-South All-Star Game, played in his hometown of Lakeland...Played at same high school as USF quarterback Matt Grothe...Athletic and agile with long arms and big hands...Coached by Keith DeMeyer...Also recruited by Louisville and Michigan State.

Biography:

A big time pass rusher, Davis was outstanding as a junior last season. He finished the year with 96 total tackles, 14 sacks, eight caused fumbles, and two defensive touchdowns in 11 games. He also plays varsity basketball.

Davis: "I'm more intense than most guys. I love the physical part of playing football. When I'm out there on an island with a tackle, it's over."
