Can someone describe to me what the difference between "starting bid" and "reserve price" are? I'm new to the online auction concept and just want to get everything right. So say starting bid 5.00, reserve is 50.00, the auction ends at 40.00, the reserve is not met, therefor the item is not sold. Hopefully this makes sense. Reserve amount is not usually revealed to potential buyers.
