Since the Bucs are wont to brag on their "waiting list" (which is not purged and requires nothing more than filling out your name on the web site to be on) and since there are so many fannies in the seats for their games, why not put in Green & Gold seats?

If they fade, they will be green and yellow.

It IS a community stadium, after all...

Stadium Seating May Be Replaced

By ALAN SNEL asnel@tampatrib.com

Published: May 18, 2004

TAMPA - The manufacturer of the seating at Raymond James Stadium has agreed in principle to replace the seats with shiny new red ones after Tampa Sports Authority threatened a lawsuit.

Hussey Seating Corp., of the New Berwick, Maine, agreed to replace all 50,000 seats just days before the authority was scheduled to vote whether to proceed with a lawsuit against the company. Sports authority officials said the company acknowledged that the seats were covered by a warranty guaranteeing seat color would not fade.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers football team officials have complained to the sports authority for months about the sea of pink seats at their home stadium. Stadium authorities said the harsh Florida sun contributed to the seat color fading from the original fire-engine red, the signature color on the Bucs uniforms and logos.

Sports authority officials estimate that it could cost several million dollars to replace the seats but could not cite a specific cost estimate.

Representatives for Hussey and the Bucs declined to comment Monday on the verbal agreement.

``It's like the seats didn't have a tan lotion,'' the authority's legal counsel, John Van Voris, told a reporter after sports authority met Monday to discuss the latest developments on the issue.

Hussey representatives are expected to advise the sports authority on a plan to replace the seats within two weeks. It's too late to order and install new seats for the 2004 season, but Hussey could install new seats in time for the 2005 season, said Henry Saavedra, the authority's executive director.

Knowiing the Glazer's, they'll probably have a clause that they get the money from selling the old seats.   I can see them send flyers to those on the waiting list:

Seats now available for only $200.  No seat license required.
