PAPAJOHNS.COM BOWL

South Florida (8-4) vs. East Carolina (7-5)

How to get a free pizza: Go to PapaJohns.com during the game and place an order. When the delivery guy arrives, tell him you're unsatisfied and refuse to pay. "But sir, you haven't even tasted the pizza yet," he'll say. "I know," you'll reply. "But this football game of yours ruined my appetite."

USF 27, East Carolina 14

Oooooooookay.....now I get it.  That makes sense.

JoeB, you got your tenses mixed up, and that made the joke very confusing.

entertaining to us yes, but for everyone else in the country I doubt it.  In other words no one cares about us or ECU.

I beg to differ, Joe. College bowl season is the LAST chance to watch decent (read: non-NFL) football until August.  Lots of casual football fans switch on games that they know nothing about, just to get that "last dose" of college football before the January - August drought.  Not saying we're going to win over tons of new fans by playing in the Pizza Bowl 2 days before Christmas, but the effect of a good game can only be positive.   Go Bulls!!!!!     :GoBulls  :GoBulls

amie, I agree to some points, but that time on Saturday before Christmas will not woo the average college football fan.  If we were playing on one of the nights during the week as the only game, it would be somewhat of a different story.  Its all positives as far as I'm concerned, but I'm a Bulls fan.  I doubt an LSU Tiger fan cares much about our Bowl game.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
