But for the sake of those of us who are trying to arrange holiday plans and a possible bowl trip, I was wondering when specific bowl invitations historically go out. I could be wrong, but I believe I remember non-BCS sending invites starting on Thanksgiving weekend. Does that sound about right?

Guest
Joe is probably right. Unless something happens in the intervening weeks (losses by WVU and Louisville), most bowls will wait until the Big East champion is determined and if the BCS will select a 2nd Big East team.So it is possible that we will be selected less than 3 weeks before the bowl game. So we may know in the locker room after the WVU Victory 8-) Go BULLS !!!

Everything depends on which team goes BCS and if two teams make the BCS from the BE.

I believe then we would be 5-2 along with UL and we get the tie-breaker.

I believe then we would be 5-2 along with UL and we get the tie-breaker.WVU doesn't have to lose to Pitt.If USF, UL, and WVU end up 5-2, then you do a "mini-conference" involving those three teams. USF would be 2-0, UL would be 1-1, and WVU would be 0-2. USF wins.
