The experts, and people who do matter in the media, cite the SOS of the BE being affected by OOC opponents. Just looking at the rankings this week, the media/coaches obviously didn't think BE teams beating each other was a sign of weakness in the ranks. The BE has 3 in the top 10 in the AP (over 1 loss teams in the Big 10 and ACC) and 3 in the top 12 in the Coaches' ahead of the 1 loss team from the ACC. I think the argument against the BE is that they have no great OOC wins.Maryland, K-State, Kentucky, MTSU, Ohio and Navy are our only OOC victories that are bowl eligible. Not exactly the list of teams that will prop the BE up.Those 6 teams all were victories by the Big 3 in the conference. That list, as a whole, is more impressive than the SEC's OOC wins ...The experts, and people who do matter in the media, cite the SOS of the BE being affected by OOC opponents. So all you go by is the print media?

In the end I think WVU will be the BE representative in the Sugar Bowl this year. With Rutgers possibly making a trip to the Orange Bowl if UF wins the SEC. The BE wins were better based on number of bowl eligible, going by Joe's list.i look forward to seeing thAT LIST bbc! When I get a chance, I'll go back and pull them out if nobody finds a ready made one. If Alabama was the 1 loss SEC team near the top they would be getting the same love Wisonsin and not as extreme, but as Wake Forest. See Auburn 2004, even the SEC is penalized (as they should be) for bad OOC schedules.Had Louisville not lost there would be no question, had WVU not lost there would have been an argument, but they still would be in Glendale. However, Rutgers is going to need help and a lot of it.Edit for Math: Thanks MikeB, been working on this project for work all day, my brain is shot right now.
