USF-Cincy: Buie doesn't travel

CINCINNATI -- Jarriett Buie, a starter at defensive end for the past four games, did not travel with USF for its game Sunday night at Cincinnati.

No reason was given for Buie's absence, but he was in streetclothes after USF's practice Friday night, talking with USF coach Jim Leavitt. He is not known to be limited by any injuries.

Buie has 15 sacks this season, including one sack. He's likely to be replaced in the starting lineup by Josh Julmiste, who returned from a six-game suspension last week.

BRRRR-AHMANS: It's good and cold here at Nippert Stadium, with most of the Bulls staying warm with white insulated Under Armour sleeves. Among the brave ones going bare-armed: quarterbacks Pat Julmiste, Grant Gregory, safety Jeremy Burnett, defensive tackles Allen Cray and Richard Clebert, receiver Jackie Chambers and nearly all of the linebackers. Ryan Gilliam, it should be noted, is wearing a sleeve on his right arm but none on his left. The temperature is right around 42 degrees, expected to get a few degrees colder during the game, and the skies are clearing, which should only make things colder ...
