to begin as part of the football elite in the state.

Not this year of course, but this season could be the spring board.

We know that UM & FSU can be back in the Top 25 easily next season ...

Go BULLS !!!

Looks like we're going to need a wee bit more "spring" in that board ...

Get over it. One year isnt going to get us to the level of FSU/UM, or even be a "spring board". Even if we dominated CIncy last weekend, when we start going to the BCS bowls and winning BE titles, thats when the gap closes.

TRUE but...

would you agree that a first step would be getting ranked in the top 25.

and a win vs cinci would get us a few votes setting up a game vs pitt to probably get ranked.

now if we had done that then beat pitt and cuse, played wvu and ul tough, finished 8-4, won our bowl

now we would have had a year the would get us noticed and would set us up for a nice run next year.

most of us diehards lament the lost opportunity...mostly because we bullieve this team has the talent to achieve the goals above.

we also lament that we had a similar chance last year and did not beat a very beatable uconn team.

IMO when you are not UM/FSU you have to win every game you should and then win a few you should not until we go one year where we do that we will not step unto the national stage.

the question CJL must be asked over the next 3-5 years is can he do that?

if we go the next 5 years with these missed opportunities will cjl job be at risk or will usf be satisfied to be 15 years old and in a bcs conf with a "chance" to win it all?

The WVU win helped ... but agree that we need to win BCS Bowls ... really think the 2007 team can do it.

Go BULLS !!!
