RB situation?

we brought in a JC RB Cannon and we now have a RB problem. What gives?

You  bring a JC player in for immediate help, to plug holes Right?

why did we bring this guy in if he cannot even be the 5th sting RB >

if this guy was a stud in jc he should be at least serviceable at this level.

it has been one month, 3 games and i have not seen this guy. what gives?

I don't know if I'd say they "brought him in." He's a walk-on, one who has a redshirt year he can take. If the coaches were confident in him as an all-around running back, he'd be in there. It's not just being able to run the ball, it's picking up blitzes to protect the quarterback, blocking, a lot of other things that can hold somebody back when they're good runners. I'm not saying that's the situation with Cannon, but USF didn't even dress Aston Samuels last two games, so they're clearly going with the guys they have right now. Obviously the team comes first, but I can understand why they wouldn't want to let one player's suspension spoil a year of another player's eligibility, like burning a potential redshirt year for a few games of fill-in work.
