I agree wholeheartedly...Jackson is another one. Then again if the only 2 plays you run are QB draws and screens, it's kind of hard to make some big plays when you aren't taking shots down field. Offensive play calling needs to step up first/

I agree with both of you guys.

Where the heck is Amarri & Amp??  They've both been MIA so far!

That's not a good sign.  Rod Smith......use your weapons, son!!!!!!

Maybe it's just me, but Amp doesn't seem to be open as often as I expected.  Amarri would have had his shot downfield if he'd listened to the audible Grothe called against FIU that led to the INT.

These guys need to work harder.  It's not a one way street here.

I still am not convinced Amp's knee is not a problem.  From all accounts, he shredded it up pretty thoroughly.  Sometimes, it just isn't possible to return to more than 80-85% of what you once were.  I really think that might be what we're seeing in Amp.

Just a thought.

Agreed but we shouldnt have to rely on a audible to to get the ball down the field.  We have big and athletic WR's but Smith almost seens scared to put them in a position to succeed and make and impact on the game.

i have been saying this years

the offense package has few quick slants or passes in space to allow receivers to use size, quickness and strength.

few pass players hit receivers on run

most passes receivers turnaround catch ball and fall down orrainbow passes that they catch and fall down

yes i could do a better job than smith

I fully agree that Rod needs to take the training wheels off this offense a bit.  We do have some athletic guys that can make plays.  That being said, I stand by my assertion that they're not getting open like they should.

We finally have a QB who can deliver them the ball, too.  They need to bust their butts and make it easier for him to do so.

Rod Smith cannot take the training wheels off this offense.

Not because the players aren't ready, but because HE isn't ready.
