PJ didn't play that badly... and I would say that PJ could have taken the team in on the drive MG came in.

CJL said that the plan was to have MG start the second half regardless. PJ got hurt and hastened that situtation.

Grothe did great, but I had some problmes with some fans.

They we're calling for Julmiste's head for things that weren't even his fault.

ex. Punt muffed for McNeese TD, they blamed Julmiste.

ex. Julmiste throws wideout to reciever who only gains 1 yard, they blamed Julmiste.

ex. Julmiste sacked from the back-side, and they blamed Julmiste.

All I am saying is alot of people were just looking for an excuse to take Julmiste out, and it was unfair. They should be looking at the special teams, play calling, and offensive line.

Julmiste wasn't sacked... USF didn't allow any sacks against McNeese...  Julmiste maybe made one mistake, on a roll-out pass where he held it a bit too long and no one was open, so he had to throw it away.  The INT was just a great play by a defender on a screen pass.  Beyond that PJ played well... he got hurt on a long run and will probably be the starter against FIU.

Expect PJ to play the first half and MG to play the second.  (Just a hunch as I have NO inside information here.)

  Gotta disagree with you on this one. All it takes is a pump fake to get the defender off his feet and a quick half step inside and you have a clear pass. Thats common QB knowledge. I have tought that to my kids from day one.

 Anyways, Grothe was announced the starter next week so we wont have to worry about it.

Coach Jim needs to "get over" the "senior loyalty" and think about the future of the team.  And the future starts this week and doesn't include PJ as the starting QB.

He also needs to get over this tantrum with the press.
