The cheerleaders still weren't as bad as the KU fans, who didn't do anything unless the video board told them to make noise. Like I told Collin, I didn't feel the least bit worried about walking out of the stadium after the game because the scoreboard didn't tell them to start fights with USF fans. By the way, KU has a guy on their dance team. We were all stunned by that. Imagine a Sun Dude instead of a Sun Doll. I noticed that too. I told my father and my son, "this is a Big 12 stadium and the Jayhawks are down 7-3 and you can literally hear a pin drop". It was rediculous. BTW, My son brought up a good plan for me & him to come down for KU's return trip to USF. So maybe I'll see you guys there.

Hey, they have to give some type of incentive for people to live out there. They can have their 1.89 gas... they deserve it for putting up with tornadoes. I lived "out there" for 30 years. I've never seen a Tornado. They really aren't as common as the TV makes it out to be. Lived here for 35 years, and seen one tornadoe. That was when I was rattlesnake hunting in COLORADO. None in Kansas Just got back from the game, After seeing a lot of KU games while living here in Kansas, I must say that USF did **** good for a road game in Big 12 country. I was sitting in my Bulls shirt and hat and had my "bulls" sign w/ my hand raised high all the game. I was not embarrassed by there play at all. Proud to walk thru the crowd after the game. Thought maybe we should have covered the underneath stuff a lot more, but still, a good showing by the Bulls.

I very much agree with John Brown. You will LOVE Lawrence. It is a BEAUTIFUL campus and the people are really nice. Now you MIGHT have problems with the students at the game, but you find that at every school. But the people as a whole of Lawrence are great. Hope you all like Lawrence as much as I LOVE Tampa.

If I see you, I'll look at your "brag book" but will ask you to share a "coke" since I don't drink Born last night, 9:30 Kansas time, Sean Patrick McDermott became the newest Bull at 8 lbs. 12 oz. He has a "Future Bulls" onsey waiting for him when he gets home. Born to my daughter (USF '02), I will do everything in my power to make him the third generation Bull in my family!! I have some pix, but can't figure out how to upload them here, so I will have to bring them to the game. Look forward to seeing you and everyone else up there. Definately will share a beer in Sean's honor!!

Not a "wash" for me Since going to Tampa, I have been a HUGE Bulls fan and I live in Topeka. SOOOOOO glad to see they play them when I saw it in July.

2001 Pitt team USF beat AT Pitt. Pitt went on to a 7-5 record and beat a NC State team that, well you know what happened when KU played them two years later (56-26) USF beat Louisville in 2003 and Louisville went on to a 9-4 record. USF also beat Louisville LAST year 45-14. The same Louisville team that was 9-3 with the only two other losses coming to West Virginia and Virginia Tech. USF beats TCU, the same TCU team that beat Oklahoma. Believe me, when folks in Florida outside of USF country hear that USF beat KU, they will ask K-Who, while messing with USF fans over their schedule and say it's NOT a big win. Louisville = Conference USA. The Big Easy has nothing but the media on it's side, Louisville is the annointed prince. That team in the ACC, SEC, Big 12, or PAC-10 is North Carolina, Ole Miss, Kansas, and Oregon State, respectively. Pitt= hahahahahah TCU= well, that one is pending KANSAS = a national name, whether it be in football (hahaha) or not. That will put y'all on the map.

Who said it was Buffalo Bob's? Remember, I live in Topeka and come to Lawrence about once a week. I am not an "out of towner"

We need to come up with a meeting place around 3:00 to 4:00 to meet everybody. I live in Topeka and will be there early watching the early games on a battery TV in a Grey Minivan with a "FSU Noles" license plate on the front. I will be in a long sleeve shirt that says "South Florida Football" on it and my son (14) will be in a KU jersey. My father will be there too but he will be nuetral As far as BBQ, John Brown has his opinion, I have mine. One of the spots he mentioned that was bad is actually the best known in Lawrence and it is that for a reason. I ain't saying where cause I don't want to wait a long time to set. We go there every time we are in Lawrence and and we leave early so we can beat the crowd. About 30 minutes after we get there, they are lined up WAY down the street to get in.

If that is the case, you can make the drive (hour and maybe 15 minute) to Manhattan to watch the other Big East school beat KSU at 7:30.

All it takes is a pump fake to get the defender off his feet and a quick half step inside and you have a clear pass. Thats common QB knowledge. I have tought that to my kids from day one. Anyways, Grothe was announced the starter next week so we wont have to worry about it.

Great news althou I will be watching on ESPN Gameplan. I listen the Noles w/ Gene and PT doing commontary on my XM. BTW, no way will they merge anytime soon. The FTC will not allow it. Cramer, althou I like him, doesn't have a clue about what he talks about when it's about Sat Radio.

Like the guy said earlier, I advise to park to the North. It costs $$ but it is a lot funner and you can tailgate. As far as weather, probably going to be mid 60's if sun is out and 50's if it's raining. remember this is going to be a night game, so we won't have the sun to warm us up. Bring a light jacket thats rainproof as it rains a lot in Sept & October here. I got married on Set. 18th in the early 90's and it was raining. So I have kept track every year since than and it has rained every Sept 18th since then except 2 times. So the 23rd is probably going to be rainy also. PLEASE WEAR A HAT as umbrellas are an absolute bug to me. I hope you like this place, as I have lived in Topeka my whole life, I like Lawrence A LOT. Very pretty town. Just remember, what you see in Lawrence, it is the exact opposite in Mancrappen (KSU). What a $hit hole that is!!!

Glad I made so many folks happy with my news. E.T., I don't know your past purchasing history, but I can safely say this is the best purchase you have made in YEARS. This is my 3rd season buying it and I just love it. USF is on quit a lot. But also, you get all the games they advertise on ABC that the west coast gets this game, the East coast gets that game and the Mid West gets another, YOU GET ALL OF THEM. Also, you get a lot of games of teams you would never see. The best game I watched all last year was between Idaho & New Mexico State (2 OT). Plus, what they do not tell you when you buy it is that when the DII and other divisions have playoffs, they show them.

Just saw on ESPN Gameplan schedule that the game is on the schedule. This is GREAT news for us Bulls outside of Florida. Just my opinion, but I also have a good feeling about the Kansas game being on PPV too. ESPN has some agreement with USF that they carry many of the Bulls games. I know last year they carried all but 2-3. So many asked if the KU game would be on PPV and if I had to guess, I would say yes.

Amstutz, along with Joe Glenn at Wyoming and Steve Kragthrope at Tulsa are three of the best coaches that nobody talks about. Amstutz is borderline, a genius. The way he plans out a game plan is something, as a fellow coach, I love to watch. I'de take Amstutz at home vs a Mangino team that was winless on the road last year.

I became a USF fan back in 2001 when I went on a vacation to Tampa, all by myself. I was setting in my motel room thinking of someting to do, when I thought about the local College Football team. I remembered they were making there debut season in the BIG Division, and knew they had a pretty good season (it was the last game of the year vs Utah St.). So I checked, and sure enough they had a home game that night. So I took a cab and fell in love with the team. It doesn't hurt that Tampa is my favorite place to be in the entire world. I just love the area. I would also like to take in a Tampa University baseball game now that they are the CHAMPIONS. Since then, I have been a Bulls Backer. And about the tickets, I e-mailed the sports dept. and asked them to e-mail me when tickets went on sale. Last Tuesday I got the e-mail that they had KU tickets for sale now. As stated before, I did have to go thru KU thou :-[ But if you call the ticket line, they have them now thru USF.

Yep! But no big deal. I can handle it. My son is a big KU basketball fan, and will be wearing his KU football jersey just to mess with me. But I will still have my Bulls shirt & hat on, right in the middle of the Crimson & Blue.

That kills travel plans but I guess there will then be no choice but to book flights for friday and departing sunday. Too risky to book a ticket flying in a place saturday morning or out saturday night hoping we would get an early kickoff. Thats why they always say plan for a noon kickoff and always leave Sunday. It's already been stated that the KU game is 6:00pm, Lawrence Ks. time.
