There were several fantastic performances along with Ross's great day led by QB Quinton Porter's sharp 15 of 19 day. He threw for 126 yards and a touchdown. On defense redshirt freshman Jolonn Dunbar made 15 tackles, and Will Blackmon picked off three passes.Star of the spring game: LB Jolonn Dunbar made 15 tackles.Connecticut QB Dan Orlovsky looked ready to roll throwing for 215 yards and a touchdown with the highlight coming on an 82-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Young as the Blue (first team offense) beat the White team (mostly first team defense) 26-13. Fears of the punting game having problems might have been put to rest as freshman Chris Pavasaris kicked 12 times averaging 44 yards. RB Matt Lawrence capped off a fantastic spring rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries for the Blue team.Star of the spring game: RB Chris Bellamy led all rushers with 127 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries for the White team. West Virginia WR Chris Henry was unstoppable catching 200 yards worth of passes and Kay Jay Harris ran for two scores in the Blue-Gold game finishing in a 20-20 tie. The most exciting moment didn't show up in the box score as a Harris 92-yard touchdown run was called back because of a clip. Harris finished with 96 yards on 15 carries. Backup QB Charles Hales completed 11 of 14 passes for 153 yards and ran for a touchdown, while starter Rasheed Marshall completed 6 of 11 passes for 90 yards and an interception.
