Sorry, that title was for Ari and his fellow detractors...I wanted to get them all frothy at the mouth...   ;D

CARDIERI'S FATE UNKNOWN: USF baseball coach Eddie Cardieri met with Woolard and senior associate AD Barbara Sparks-McGlinchy on Tuesday, but no decision was reached on Cardieri's future at USF.

Woolard and Cardieri said they would meet again today. Cardieri, whose contract expires today, has been USF's coach the past 21 years.

"We had preliminary discussions, a productive meeting," Cardieri said.

Meanwhile, Reggie Jefferson resigned after one season as the Bulls' hitting coach. Jefferson said his decision was not related to Cardieri's situation.

"This was just a career move," said Jefferson, who played nine seasons in the major leagues. "No one thought I'd be a No. 3 assistant in college baseball for a long time. USF was a good fit, but I wanted to get back in the pro game. I wouldn't feel right continuing to recruit for USF while looking for another job."

Jefferson, 37, came to USF after spending last season as hitting coach for the Florida Marlins' Triple-A club in Albuquerque, N.M.

I read the topic and thought you were posting about the TB Lightning.  You spoiled my chance to complain about an off-topic post.   :P  ;)  8)

Made it clearer...I'd hate to see the fun wasted on some Lightning fans.
