A court strikes down a lower court ruling, meaning Maurice Clarett isn't eligible for the 2004 NFL Draft. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the NFL had demonstrated a "likelihood of success on the merits'' of its argument that Clarett and other young athletes should not be permitted to enter the league prematurely. The draft is Saturday and Sunday.this ruling is bad for the kids and bad teams. i am in a state of shock .While this is a stay and not a ruling on the merits I find this rule so unamerican. Clarett can strap a gun on and fight for his country but he can't play football.what a terrible ruling. soccer allows a 14 year old boy to play. it makes no sense. Same way an 18 year old can run for mayor, but can't run for President. The NFL isn't the end all be all of football. Kizarvexis
