they sure are durable... wakefield could pitch till he's 50 with that velocity ;)

Most difficult pitch to throw. Its extremely hard to even throw ONE knuckleball, yet to do it all the time and with sometype of idea of where the hell you are throwing it.

I totally agree, my knuckler doesn't knuckle, since it only goes about 30 MPH.  But it isn't a pitch that wears down your shoulder and you should never need "Tommy John" surgury  ;D

Didn't Charlie Hough pitch til he was like 48.  I remember seeing him at Marlins spring training a few years back.

the knuckler is extremely difficult to control and even harder to "make it dance"...  I used to pitch quite often and always messed around with the knuckle in warmups and practice, but could never get it consistent enough to use in a game.  

on a side note, one of thepitchers we faced from Miami (second night) had a nasty knucklecurve that made our lineup look stupid...
