I use a Canon Rebel XT with a 75-300mm lens.

I use a Canon Rebel XT with a 75-300mm lens.

That's similar to what I use.  I've got a Canon 20D and use the Canon 75-300 IS lens.   Just invested in a monopod for next season to help my left shoulder out.   :)
