I think it will be all positive. The folks at USF are concerned about their fans not being able to attend if they switch it.  That should not be a problem since it will be on labor day and most folks are off anyway. Maybe they have other concerns that we dont know about.

why would no other team want to play in that monday 4pm slot if it is so advantages?

that day and time isn't good especially if teams play the following week.they now have a short week.so changing the game effects 2 games.

rallying supports for what? it is apparent USF will make decision based on money.

The ship has sailed, the contract with ESPN is signed. This is a done deal. All the bush beating in the world will not stop that short of a donation that can beat the financial windfall a national TV game can muster.

How people feel about it at this point has no bearing on what will get done.

I'm sure if USF had decided NOT to move the game yet again for ESPN, the folks at ESPN would just move to the next candidates on the list. I feel confident many other programs would be willing to make some sacrifices to arrange this deal. That may not be a popular move by all fans but the decision goes deeper than fan interest-- there are three main ingredients at work here:

1) Money

2) National Exposure

3) Fan interests

The first two so far out weighed #3 that the decision to move the game seemed hard to pass up.

Sorry you will miss the game (or miss bringing a hoard of family with you to the game). I'm sure you will still venture to see your family regardless though-- correct? That seems more important than the game itself.

While I can understand your PAIN that things aren't going exactly as you planned, moving on would seem the best move. You've been writing on this issue for almost a month now.

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.
