How come when listening to the game on the radio..

you don't hear the HOT playing?? The game sounds so "corporate" and non- traditional.  I really can't handle "Here come the Bulls"  anymore.  I have listened to many college games on the radio but I have yet to hear the band. which is part of a rich college traditon.  Sorry for ranting!!!

Jebbull, my guess is that the booth is not located where it can pick up the band very well. Because it is across the field from the HOT, it would have to be straight in front of the band to get any pickup at all.

I would think that if the broadcast crew has an outside mike for crowd noise, it's taped securely to the outside of the booth.
