Time for students and fans to put up or shut up

My broke ass has flown in for every home game but Louisville (Immunobiology/Microbiology final prevented that one). And it will continue to do so!!

P.S. USF's band is WAY WAY WAYYYYYYYY better than UMiami's band. They don't move their instruments, they make poor formations, and you can't even hear their crap. Our band would 100% have overshadowed them at the UM-USF game if not for the fact that their band was mic'ed up to the stadium speakers. I'm proud of our HOT!

IMO, HOT was better than UCF's Band also.  Miami wasn't even close to HOT!

Good to know we’re being noticed and appreciated!  The band is doing great.  We do the full version of the fight song because of the soft “spelling†section…that’s where they kick the extra point.  It actually works well, and then we don’t “over-do†the peppiness.  =)

I think you missed the part where they played music over the band through the same speeker system that they were playing into. It would also have helped if we weren't in the freeking upper deck. But i digress.

I am so glad to hear you guys will finally be getting the new uniforms!!!  You guys have REALLY improved over the years!  We loved it when the drumline played with the UCF drumline after that game!  BTW, tell Romeo his "Fab 4" fans say hello!!!  Ask him about the coconut too. ;D

I'm glad to have found this site, and glad to see people are noticing the band!  Thanks for the kind words about the Herd of Thunder.  We're constantly trying to improve ourselves, and I think we're addressing most of your concerns.  Acoustically spreaking, Raymond James isn't the most band-friendly stadium, and our placement in the stands isn't the best either.  But we need the access to the field the stairs provide us right there.  We'll try to do a better job of angling in for the game this Saturday--let us know if you notice a difference.

300+ with new uniforms is a great goal, and we're working hard to acheive that as well.  There are always budget concerns, but I think we'll overcome those.  The more we can get support from great fans like I see in here, the more we can keep providing as much pep and support for our great teams here at USF!  Thanks for your support, and please spread the word that the Herd is working to be the best we can be!
