i think b96g means that those 3 teams listed first had losses last week and in addition to that, he thinks vatech is overrated.

I don't think he means VT lost to those 3.

Why is Louisville ranked in the top 25? They have a very tame schedule, the only quality teams they've played are us and WVU...we spanked them and they took WVU to the wire but lost in 3OT.

Another example of how stoopid the polls can be.

I wonder where USF would be if 7-2 with their weak schedule - not ranked 20th in the country (like Louisville) would be my guess...

1) they were very hyped before the sesaon

2) they have a pre-season heisman candidate at QB (plays into part of the hype)

3)  they have a monster in Dumerville (more hype)

4)  they went 10-1 last season (only loss to Miami)

5)  they are beating everyone by 40

6)  a lot of people see the loss to us as an anomoly

7)  the wvu doesn't look bad because they had a huge lead and wvu is ranked well now

The voters love louisville for all those reasons, and probably more.

They get respect even if they haven't earned all of it... which is the opposite of us.
