Just went by the store Heads and Tails, on Kennedy Blvd, thinking they now carried Bulls merchandise.  The only Bulls shirt they had was a green shirt that had 45-14 on the front...and on the back "You came in ranked and went home spanked...out played and out coached."

Anyway, thought it was funny.  The lady said they should start getting more USF gear in soon.

That is nice and all but you have a big game this weekend.   Yes you crushed us and we have NO EXCUSES but if you don't play even or even beat the Canes it will be all for naught.

Not only are you playing for yourselves but you are playing for the Big East.

I went to the bookstore on Monday looking for a USF-Louisville game shirt.  The manager told me Louisville wouldn't agree to one.  She said the bookstore had wanted to make one with the score on it, but Louisville refused to allow their name to appear with another school's name.  They said their answer would have been the same even if they had won.  However, the manager didn't seem to think so because their attitude was not pleasant at all.  Hmmm...

Don't quite understand how crushing the concensus pre-season favorite to win the BE and perhaps go to the Nat'l Title game is all for naught if we lose an OCC game, but then again, what do I know  ::)

Does it help the Conference as a whole if we go down and beat Miami, of course it does, but how can you say that dominating Louisville means nothing if we lose.

By the way, how come it was never a big deal when Florida State was cruising through the ACC every year with no competition and Miami was single-handledly carrying the Big East until Virginia Tech stepped it up in the past 7 or 8 years, but now the Big East deserves no credibility at all because a couple of schools left?

Hey, if the Big east is looked at negatively because of the thrashing we gave LVille... it isn't our fault... its LVille's.  Our victory shows we are stronger than people expected, and that is a positive for the conference.  It just happened to be an in-conference game against a top 10 team.  If we don't beat Miami, it doesn't mean we aren't strong, nor does it mean the Big East isn't good.  If we had Southern Cal on the schedule this weekend, people wouldn't be saying if we didn't win then it's all for naught... Miami has been a top tier team, along with a SMALL handful of others for a while now.  Losing to them isn't shameful.  Beating them is extremely difficult, regardless of the venue... but if it is done... the benefits to the conference are huge.  But not winning a game you are HUGE underdogs in doesn't adversly affect the conference.

I picked up one of those shirts at Sports FanAttic at University Mall today.  I love the Smack Talk shirts!  I'm wearing a Boston/Yankees one right now.

I don't disagree with you and that was not really my point.

The point is this, as a league we are getting bashed on a weekly basis.  To show that you are for real you need at least a Louisville like performance like we had in the Orange Bowl last year.  A win would be icing on the cake.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
