Does USF really belong in the Big East?

honestly, i dont see why the SEC doesnt kick out Vanderbilt and replace it with USF.. vanderbilt does not fit the profile of an SEC school (major public university in the south) and does NOTHING for that conference.. i'm just afraid someone like UCF gets to take over for vanderbilt when/if it does get kicked out of the SEC

USF wouldnt be the only dumbass school in the conference.. half the SEC schools are easy to get into.. regardless of academics, the SEC would financially benefit ten-fold

For real, the SEC has at least one school good at each major portion of school greatness.  Kicking out Vandy would destroy their "powerhouse" academic program.  It would be a sad day if UF or UGA were the top academic school in the SEC  ;D ;D ;D ;D.

God, I love this board. This has got to be the only place where fans of the same school would advocate joining the SEC and dropping to I-AA on the same thread.

I say we do everything in our power to avoid this, try and eliminate the 1% or less chance of it happening, etc.

of course its rediculous, it was just a jab at the ucf academics.  anyway, even if o'leary manages to turn ucf around somewhat, you can be sure he will bail at the first sign of a fatter contract.
