A year later and a new coaching staff in place, USF tight ends coach Justin Burke is pleased not only with the development of the group, but how well they're performing in the new offense. "I think when you talk about the tight ends, they're gritty and they love to work hard. I think that's the best thing we've seen out of them every day. When you do that, if you have talent and you put the work in you're going to have some spectacular players. They've done everything we've asked them to do." Burke said. Sophomore tight end Mitchell Wilcox showed his versatility for USF both as a major run blocker for the Bulls as well as a pass catching threat with an average 23.2 yards per catch last season. Burke considers Wilcox one of the most well rounded players on the team and an key cog in the Bulls offense. "Mitch is an all-around talent:He can catch, one of the best things he does is block and I think he gives our offense and edge that really resonates with a lot of our guys. Mitch is still growing and he's got a long way to go, but he's got a lot to work with." Wilcox feels that the Bulls tight ends have adjusted well to the new offense and the added versatility between him and Elkanah Dillon helps the offense stay balanced. "We're just working through the plays, starting to gel as an offense and it's going good. We're working heavy in the run game, blocking technique and also getting involved Rest of Story Edited August 9, 2017 by Buller64 fixing html cose
