WOW is all I have to say....I want to know how a team can play well enough to sweep the number one team in the country, beat the number ten team in the country but lose 2 out of 3 to ECU...it is strange...hopefully we get another one tommorow

I think the last two times we played them in Gainesville (in previous years) we had big leads and couldn't hold it.

We were at #63 before the game.

We need to win just about every game to have a chance to make it to the NCAA tourney.

Ty Pryor and Tim Mattison get it done again, giving up only 1 run in 5.2 innings of relief.  Brian Baisley goes 4-5, he's heating up, and Tim Orlosky with a bases loaded pinch triple in the 8th to put the Bulls ahead.  

Let's hope we can get the mini-sweep tomorrow night!  Although I would say that the three games at Hattiesburg are more important this weekend.  We'd have to basically win out to have any shot at an at-large, so playing for C-USA tourney seed is probably the priority.  

And Bigbull, ECU looked like an NCAA team to me.  They had some pop throughout the lineup and good speed as well.  That's a good ball club.  However it is weird that we tend to play up (as well as down) to our competition.

I think there are 64 like in Basketball.

C-USA usually gets 4 or 5 teams. Right now those would be Tulane #2, USM #28, ECU #37 and TCU #41.

We need to get our RPI somewhere around 45 to have a realistic chance for an at large bid. Otherwise, we will have to win the Conference tourney to get an automatic bid.
